The Painted Lady butterfly is unique in the UK as it's spectacular wing patterns are mirrored exactly on the underside.
The Painted Lady is regularly seen between the months of April to October when it frequently visits the UK after a very long flight from Southern Europe. Unfortunately the Painted Lady butterfly cannot survive the cold UK winter weather.
