Four-spotted Chaser

The Four-spotted Chaser is very common and can live in a variety of habitats from moorlands and wetlands to lakes or ponds.

A great dragonfly to watch as competing males repel each other in flight as they fight for territory. Also perches frequently on branches over water or along banks or ditches when it can be approached quite closely.
