A dog sized, often nocturnal mammal with red-brown fur, thick-coated in winter and moulting in summer.
There are quite a lot of Foxes in the West Pennine Moors area, not enough in-my-opinion but they are seen in the country and towns, reasonably frequently.
Foxes live in a small, family group and use a small excavated hollow or the burrow of another animal in breeding season.
