The Gatekeeper or Hedge Brown is often found on Bramble flowers in hedgerows or on the edge of woodland, and feeds on many kinds of grasses.
Easily identified by the double white spot on the forewing that is usually present. Male and female Gatekeeper butterflies look very similar.
