Speckled Wood

As its name suggests, the Speckled Wood can found in dappled shade of woodlands. The main food source is honeydew found in the tree tops. Early and late in the season when there aren’t so many aphids, they can be seen feeding lower down. Seen from April to October, mainly in woodland, but also hedgerows and scrubland.
