The Yellow Winged Darter dragonfly is said to be an infrequent migrant from mainland Europe but many are seen in certain years. Said to be restricted to the south I’ve certainly seen plenty in the north.
The translucent wing membrane is coloured yellow close to the body, making the Yellow Winged Darter fairly easy to identify.
