              A brilliant blue damselfly with distinctive bands on each wing. Often found near quiet rivers or canals.
              
              The Common Blue Damselfly has a black club-shaped marking on the second abdominal segment.
              
              The Emerald Damselfly is a brilliant blue and green coloured “stalk-winged” damselfly.
            
            Brett Gregory is an award-winning filmmaker based in Bolton whose production company, Serious Feather, is currently making a documentary about autism and poetry.
