West Pennine Wildlife

The West Pennine Moors support a wide diversity of plant and animal life, together with a number of important SSSIs or “Sites of Special Scientific Interest”. The moorland itself is a unique environment, but the surrounding area is also rich in wetlands, lakes, rivers and woodland.
