Violet Ground Beetle

The Violet Ground Beetle can be identified by its strong violet sheen around its flanged edges of its fused wing cases and its thorax. It is a fairly common beetle, found in grassland, farmland, woodland and gardens. Can be seen all year round, but most likely between March and October.
