Seen around almost any woodland stream or pond in the West Pennine area, Lesser Celandine has small yellow flowers with many tiny petals. Often forms a carpet across large areas of ground.
Clover-like leaves with small white flowers wit lilac veins, Wood Sorrel grows in abundance in most woodland throughout the West Pennine Moors area forming large ‘carpets’ of flowers.
Brett Gregory is an award-winning filmmaker based in Bolton whose production company, Serious Feather, is currently making a documentary about autism and poetry.
As a part of this production, Landscape Britain was asked to advise with regards to the location of specific areas of outstanding natural beauty throughout the region.
